Going for TOP SCHOOLS!!

<p>I'm currently a junior, almost at the stage of getting a start on those essays A.S.A.P.! So here I go: </p>

<p>Academics: </p>

<p>GPA: 102.39 Weighted
SAT I: 800M 750 CR 770 W = 2320 only taken once
SAT II: World- 770, Math II- 800, Physics- 800, USH- 750
AP: World History (4), Biology (5)[self], Environmental Science (5)[self], USH (5), US Gov. (5)[self], Statistics (5)[self], Physics C Mech&EM (5), Psychology (5)[self]. </p>

<p>Major Distinctions: National AP Scholar Award, Siemens Science Research Semi-finalist, Intel International Sci & Eng. Fair 4th Award in category, USAPhO Semi-finalist, AIME qualifier (7), USABO semi-finalist, USNCO participant ( not really an award), 4-year varsity athlete award. </p>

<p>Summer:
Freshman: began self-studying AP's and doing AP summer assignments.
Sophomore: Science Research Mentor Program with professor at CUNY- Queens College, preparing Siemens project and NYCSEF/ISEF project.
Junior: Working with mentor, preparing next Siemens project and Intel Science Talent Search project. Also went to India to rebuild impoverished villages. </p>

<p>EC's:
4-Year Math Team
3-Year Robotics Team
4-Year Science Research
4-Year Varsity Volleyball + 1year captain
2-Year Debate Team
Volunteer at Church, about 40 Hours per year
Volunteer at Hindu Religious Festival - about 30 hours per year
Peer Mediator in school </p>

<p>Senior year course load:
AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Economics, AP English Literature, AP Spanish Language, [Electromagnetism, Intermediate Mathematical Physics, Differential Equations all at Queens College], Science Research, Math Team. </p>

<p>Recs: my mentor, my AP Calculus teacher and AP Physics teacher. all should be great. </p>

<p>Other: South Asian Male </p>

<p>Schools:
MIT ED, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, University of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon, The Cooper Union, NYU. </p>

<p>Wow…that’s awesome! I think you definitely have a good chance at all those schools, especially MIT. XD</p>

<p>I can’t guarantee you the Ivies though, since they were really (and I mean REALLY) a crapshoot this year. But good luck!</p>

<p>The OP has excellent chances everywhere, but acceptance at the most selective colleges is not ensured. </p>

<p>Also, the OP should note that MIT only has EA, not ED.</p>
