Going from a 30 to a 33-34. ATTN BRAIN CHILDREN

Hey everyone!
I just took my first ACT and my results were as follows:
English: 32
Math: 30
Reading: 32
Science: 26

I know these scores aren't the greatest, which is why I'm looking for some advice in hopes of improvement. I am a junior in high school, and I took the April ACT with some, but not substantial, aid. My school offered John Baylor test prep which I attended, but I did not do much or almost any of the homework because I felt it was a waste as I knew most of it. The difficulty level was low as was the level of accuracy when comparing to the actual ACT. I struggled in math's Geometry as well as the rhetorical English (what IS that?) and finally all of the science. I worked at a comfortable pace for the entire test because I am a quick worker and reader, but the science left me rushing and guessing. The night before, I went to dinner and a movie and neglected studying, but I felt that that may have been beneficial because I would have gotten stressed out.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how to improve, I would greatly appreciate it. I plan on taking it only one more time because I am not aiming to go to a large school, but rather somewhere small with some Honors programs and scholarship help. I will most likely do this in September but possibly October.
So again, any books or curriculum or programs would be great, especially concerning science.

Thank you so much! Sorry for the rant.

Also, when should I begin studying? I believe I’d run out of material if I began now, but I want to for my best chances.

It is a waste if your school offered a class and you do not take advantage of it. All you need is to do more practice tests (or homework). Although you will also find you know most of the stuffs in a practice test, you will get more familiar with the format of the test and question types. Make sure you go through the answers that you missed or you are not sure. It is very possible get a 3-4 point or even more boost after working hard in the summer

Well, I can give you some good advice. I am also a Junior in High School and I took a practice test and received a composite score of 27. However, I got a 33 on the February ACT. Take a look at the practice tests. Also buy some practice books! I recommend the real ACT Prep book (which have actual ACT tests), Princeton Review book, and the Barron 36 book. Honestly, you can pick one of those and just read through each section and take practice tests. You can do it! Good Luck!
