Hello... First off, thanks for looking at my post.

I am not a traditional college student. I'm in my mid 20's, but still have 2-3 years left until I finish my bachelor's in engineering. Although I was always bright, I wasn't always the most driven student. I struggled and at times still do struggle with ADHD without hyperactivity. Mostly though, I needed to find what it was that I was truly passionate about before I could really apply myself and that didn't happen until the ripe age of 22.

Once this did happen I went into overdrive though. I've been getting straight straight A's and have managed a 3.5 GPA (which I expect to continue to rise). I will also be applying for academic renewal at the community college that I previously went to. I have already done quite a few internships (about 8 I think) that are relevant to my major, which is environmental engineering. Also, I plan to participate in clubs and engineering competitions.

I am interested in the the ICME (Institute for Computational & Mathematical Engineering) grad program at Stanford. However, I currently go to a Cal State (not one of the Cal Poly's). My school isn't especially known for engineering, but it is a unique program. To the best of my knowledge, it is the only environmental engineering program that is pure environmentally focused and not civil. Do you think that Stanford is even a possibility or is rejection already a forgone conclusion? Also, what are some other schools with good CME grad programs? I know that I shouldn't really worry about this yet, but I can't help it! I kind of needed to post this for my own sanity.

Thanks!!!
