I'm originally from LA but following my friends, I came all the way up to San Francisco. I am currently attending SFSU. I quickly realized that I really do not like it here and I would really like to go back down to so-cal. I have about a month to go before I finish my first year. I was originally planning on just sucking it up and going through one more year, but I don't really know if I want to do that. I was going to apply this October and try to transfer after my second year to another UC or CSU closer to home. My question is, would it be better to stay at a 4 year university and then try to transfer after my second year, or can I just go to a community college and transfer to another CSU or a UC after a year? Would I still have the same opportunities as the other students and have priority or would they already consider me of having had a chance at a 4 year university? I am just afraid of getting myself out of a 4 year univ w/out having a way back in.
