Going from CC to UofM or Michigan State

I'm a Pre-Pharm student at Grand Rapids CC with a 3.8. I got into UofM and Michigan State. the classes i took at CC were Bio 100, English 100, Chem 100, PreCal, Speech, Anatomy, Gym, and Socology 100. I didn't study very much for these classes, but still got a 3.8. Next year im going to either UofM or Michigan State. I know the classes there are going to hard, but i dont know really how much harder they will be.
IS there going to be a BIG change my work?
Anybody transfer from a CC to a better college, if so can you tell what you exeprince was?
Michigan or Michigan state?

Michigan is a better college…
Is Michigan state giving u lots of aid??

To answer your question, I would say there will be a BIG change if you make it that way. I am currently a student at Kalamazoo Valley Comm. College and my twin brother is at MSU. We both just completed our freshman years and compared our classes. He took CHM with lab and had almost 400 students. My biggest class had only 40 students, so there is a big difference already.
However, I believe I had tougher classes because my professors knew my name and expected me to do well since I am in the Honors Program.
Overall, I’d say you are in for a wake up call in class size, but seeing as you did well (3.8) at GRCC, you won’t have a problem academically.
Ironically, I am applying (and almost positive I will be accepted) to U of M next year, so we will have quite the rivalry going on. I’d say U of M all the way, but I’m pretty biased.

I am transferring from a CC to Michigan. If you never had to study or anything at your CC, yes, there is going to be a BIG change. There is a much bigger workload, and if nothing else, you are going to be taking higher level courses now than you did before which brings a bigger workload regardless of the type of school you’re going to.
