Going from Honors Chem to regular physics?

Hey, I'm a junior. In my sophomore year I took honors chemistry (did decently, B+/A- 1st/2nd semester but not phenomenally) but this year I took regular physics. This was due to a B first semester in Alg2 which cut me off from getting into the class (since remedied, A both semesters of precalc), and I'm kinda worried about how much the drop will hurt me. I actually did really well in physics, near-perfectly (100s or near on all tests) and as my teacher reccomended I'm taking AP phys C next year. So will that "counteract" the drop? Will it be a serious problem? I'm looking at fairly high-ranking schools, not quite top 25 but mostly top 50. Some schools i'd love to go to would be stuff like UCLA, Emory, Rice, and as a VERY high reach Cornell. Will this be disastrous to me chances?

Thanks

Oh, and, if its helpful, my GPA is a ~92 and my SAT is 2280 (800 CW, 770 M, 710 W)

I hate to self-bump, but I’d really appreciate an answer on this

Nobody can predict what individual adcoms will do on any given day. However, if it’s anecdotal stories you’re looking for, my D did the same thing as you and got into NU - but that was 10 years ago. And then after reg physics she took AP Chem and got a 5 on test. Your scores and GPA look ok to me for the schools you listed - but as they say at the carnival midway and at the Admit Offices - You pays your money and you takes your chance… But we can all say good luck - and knock down all the milk bottles for the big prize.
