going from state university to community college

I am currently still in high school. I am a junior. I am doing the dual enrollment program and im a full time student at a state university. This is completely free by the way except I have to pay for housing. Next year I am considering going to the community college that is 10 minutes away from my house. After my senior year and second year of college I would transfer to a different university. I would have to apply as a freshman though because I am basically still in high school. I was wondering if this would look bad on an application or hurt my chances of getting in to the school I want. I have nothing against cc but I am scared they would the college admissions team would think I wanted to go to cc cause its “easier”. Please post your opinion. So far my family has not been happy when I bring it up. Thank you!

I guess it depends on the college that you hope to eventually enter. If it is highly competitive, then probably the courses taken at the state university will be given more value than courses taken at your community college. However, community college coursework submitted by an entering Freshman is not going to look ‘bad’, particularly if the courses are at a challenging level for a high school student.
