I am starting to consider going to from university to community college. Yep, I am doing the complete oppisite than most students. My main reason is to save money, I realize that leaving for college might not have been the best thing for me at this time, so I am considering transfering to a CC. By the way, I am going for nursing. I want to pursue Nursing at a CC however, in order to save money. Although I am aware that I will only get an Associate's Degree.

What are the Pros and Cons of this? I just am looking for a few outside opinions in order to help me along with my decision at this point. It is not an easy one for me. Thanks.

Lots of people do this - sometimes because of finances, sometimes because of an academic change of heart, sometimes for other reasons. Happykid is at our local community college, and two of her HS friends transferred there after one semester at a 4-year university, even more came at the end of the first year. If you decide this is the best route for you, you will be in good company.

I am just starting to realize that leaving really is not for me at this point in my life. I am most likely going to leave this semester and attend a CC to save my parents money and just because I believe it is the best choice for me personally.

What you need to do is first, contact the community college and become fully informed about what that school can offer you and what you will need to do in order to benefit from what they offer. Depending on what you want to study, going to a comm. college may actually take longer than a 4 year school. So, contact your college and find out. Ask lots of questions.
