I have a few questions about going into a school if you are accepted with an undecided major.

1) How will you choose your courses for the first semester?

2) Can you choose your minor(s)?

3) What will happen after choosing the major? For example, if its a prestigious major, is there a high chance you will have to go with another choice?

1) Usually the school will help with couse selection.

I know for ASU (which is probably the same for lots of large publics), is that the undeclared majors join a certain group that 'may' end up being what they study. Like a science-based curriculum. Or humanities based. All that. They usually sign up for the classes that are usual reqs. for most of the majors.

This depends a lot on the school. Can you tell us what school(s) you're thinking about?

For many schools, you're getting core/distribution requirements out of the way that first year anyway. Also, take classes that are in potential areas of interest to see if it's really what you want to do.
At the vast majority of colleges, unless it is a major that requires application into a separate school within the university (engineering, architecture, BFA theatre, etc), there is no problem entering any major, and generally, you are not expected to do this prior to the beginning of junior year. Plus, the great majority of those who enter with a major declared will ultimately change it.

Basically: it doesn't matter. But like the previous poster said, be sure to explore what your options are within your college(s) of choice. They're all different.
