I am just starting my senior year and plan to major in mathematics and possibly engineering in college. A number of schools that I am applying to “highly recommend” that I submit a science subject test with my application, but I have not had the opportunity to take an AP science class because of my high school’s poor science offerings.
Based on this, should I try my best at a science subject test (I would most likely chose physics) and submit my poor score? I have taken basic physics and am enrolled in honors modern physics this year as well. Is it possible for me to be considered as a strong candidate, even if I take submit a poor test score just to fill the requirement?
