I plan on majoring in Journalism, with a concentration in Public Relations, along with a minor in Business Administration.

What are the potential careers I could have in real estate that don't require a license for that particular field, but could rather implement my degree in?

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this combination of fields?

Thanks. :-)

Most real estate companies are small and so I doubt the need will be that great for a public relations expert. However, developers obviously have to sell their ideas to investors, banks, and cities, and often have to smooth over PR messes with upset neighbors. Thus, all of these subjects are applicable to real estate development (a developer must wear a ton of hats). If you did something like real estate consulting to start your career, I could see the need for good writing skills.

Anyways, you don't start as a developer right away. (you generally must learn about lots of areas of real estate prior to becoming a developer). There is no specific degree that one must come from to be a developer (albeit, finance is the preferred degree). Anyways, just an option to consider.
