Going on test # 5

Hey guys. You can all call me crazy, but I'm taking the ACT for the 5th time this June. Check out the trend:
June 05: 29
October 05: 30
December 05: 31
April 06: 33
June 06: ??

So I keep on taking the test, and I obviously intend on reporting my scores. If I report my highest, will they see that I've taken it 5 times? I hope not lol. I'm also taking the SAT twice, which is more popular in the state of New York. I'll probably apply early to Dartmouth, and a handful of others regular if I'm defered or rejected. Should I report SATs and ACTs? I don't know my SAT scores yet (thank you collegeboard quality control), but colleges in the northeast would rather see SATs, right? Thanks for your help.

yeah, thats what i want to know when you send your highest do they see how many times you've taken it? i've taken it once so far and have gotten a 26, not that bad but aiming for a 30 +

I'm going to take the ACT again too, because I also see an upward trend in my scores (although it appears to be moving at a more rapid rate...)

Feb 2006: 29 (23 in the Science...:( )
April 2006: 32 (Science killed me again, 26)

I'm going to study really hard for the Science and take like 50 practice tests so that I learn how to manage effectively the little time that is allotted for the Science section...

32 is a great score to fall back on, but if I can improve it by just getting my Science score to a reasonable number (above 30) and perhaps increase my Math and Reading scores a bit, a better score is quite doable...

That's impressive (and reassurring) that your scores went up after each consecutive test.

Did you do a lot of studying in between each test in order to try and improve the scores, or did you pretty much just retake it each time the test date rolled around?

I plan to retake the test again on the next testing date, but I pretty much exhausted most of the study material before the first test. Right now, the only well-known prep book that I haven't read is Kaplan's. Which books have you used?

By the way, you can take the test as many times as you want and the colleges will not be aware of it. As long as you don't tell ACT to send the former test scores to them, they'll never know how many times you have taken it.
