Hey...I was wondering if anyone knew how easy it is to get to the Claremont and/or Anaheim areas from UCLA...? This is all assuming that I will not have a car (which is likely). Do the bus systems easily connect to that area? Or are there trains? Anything?

to get to anaheim, you'd have to take busses and subway to Union Train Station, then take the metrolink to anaheim (pretty cheap).

How long does it take to get to those areas? Is traffic really as bad as I hear it is up there?

to get to claremont by car will take you maybe 1.75 hours due to heavy traffic heading out that way, unless you go during non-rush hour times. hmm... i think a train heads out toward the redlands/riverside area, perhaps they pass through somewhere near claremont? not sure, just a thought.

If you are an incoming freshman living in the dorms, one of your first priorities is to fiind a dorm buddy with a car. SERIOUSLY! Chip in for gas money and go siteseeing in SoCal on weekends.
