Hello everyone,
I am currently on a PreMed track at my school, I was wondering if it is a bad idea to minor in Psychology? I am currently majoring in Biology.

Your major and/or minor will zero effect on your eligibility for medical school. Minor if you enjoy the subject. Adcoms will not care what your minor is, or even if you have a minor.

It’s only a bad idea if it takes away from your other studies/time to participate in related ECs and research, or if it brings your GPA down.

If you like psych, it can result in some “easier” A’s. Plus, some social-psych stuff will be on the new mcat. Win-win.

But the minor itself is worthless to professional school adcoms.
