Would there be anything different regarding pre-med if i were to go to a school like rensselaer polytechnical institute of Rochester institute of technology.

Or would i still get the same pre-med experience as a regular university

Thanks

I’m a student at RPI and am currently pre med so I can try to give you a little advice

It depends on what major you choose to be. I’m a BME and although the regular BME curriculum structured, the pre-med track is a little bit more “loosely” put together. Everything fits, but it involves cramming classes together that at other schools you wouldn’t dream of taking at the same time.

I guess they do it because they assume if you’re at RPI, you’re able to handle the stress and do well. It is definitely harder to get a high gpa here than it would be to get one at a state university, we have a lot of work and to get the grades you need to study and do your homework.

I’m a rising sophomore and I have a 3.8 GPA after this semester.

Well id plan to be a chem major so i think theres a lot of overlap between the chem classes i have to take and the pre-med classes.
