will attending a technical highschool make my chances of entering a good college better? I go to a technical high school and am currently taking electronic courses. will this make my chances of going to a good college such as Berkeley better to major in electrical engineer?

In a sense. Magnet schools or specialized high school such as Stuyvesant High school in NYC can only take you so far in terms of recognition from colleges. Sometimes if a college is aware of how good your school is, then they pay special attention to your application provided it is in good shape stats wise. Other time it depends if your HS has a good relationship with that college. Some colleges have had bad experience with past applicants from a particular HS which makes it hard for future applicants from the same school.

I went to a technical high school also. I think coming from a technical high school gives you more opportunity to develop specific interests and show that to universities. Universities like students that are passionate about things. It also helps if you high school has a good reputation.
