<p>You just need to look at the Ole Miss website to see that it is not difficult to be accepted. I'm not bothering to look at it again myself (so my numbers might be slightly off), but my recollection is that you would be admitted with a 2.0 gpa if you score at least 860 on the SAT. If you had a 2.5 gpa, your SAT score could be even lower. The admission standards are low and are actually established by Mississippi state law. State law also precludes having any co-ed dorms. Of course the avg. student admitted to Ole Miss did much better than a 2.0 and an 860 SAT (I believe the avg. is about a 3.2 and a 1050). I have visited the campus and taken the tour, and there is a lot to like about Ole Miss. The town of Oxford is pretty neat as well. The culture is fairly conservative, but it is a bit of a party school (as are most other SEC state universities).</p>
