Going to orientation late

The flight that I booked arrives at 10 and I probably won't be able to get there until 10:30, so does anything important happen then and what? How do I check in/find where my room is? And, is it easy to figure out what the hell I'm supposed to go/where to go?

And when is orientation over? Is a flight leaving at 7:20 too early? What happens at the end and can it easily be missed?

people got there late last year. its fine. just get there before noon. the beginning is al ot of wasting time anyway.

orientation ends around 6 but several of my groupmates left in the early afternoon, b/c at the end all you do is a big campus tour

Dear Charisma,

Perhaps you should come in the night before?
Orientation counselors and people affiliated with orientation will probably be wearing bright shirts and will give you directions on checking in and finding your room.
Last year, on the first day, we primarily focused on Ackerman, Kerckhoff, and Moore (buildings right next to each other closer to the central part of campus). It's just a stroll down BruinWalk away from the residential area. So, it won't be horribly confusing (hopefully).
Last year, I think we registered for classes in the morning. In the afternoon, we took a tour around. Registering for classes is important... especially if you're totally clueless about what you want to take. You can leave early in the morning if you want (if it's necessary?) and then make sure your Orientation Counselor knows so that s/he can let you register for classes (either there or at home).

Thanks :)

It's too late to change it now cause I already booked it though. So the counselors/check-in people will still be around if I come late?

i saw people getting chekced into 2 hours later. im sure if you call they can accomodate you at any time.

Your counselors take roll, so he/she knows who is missing and will be alertly expecting you to show up any minute.
