Going to try and transfer for the upcoming spring semester. Do I have a chance?

Anyone know if I have a good shot?

I’m out of state at Umass currently and its way too expensive. I noticed BU meets a higher percentage of need so I’m hoping to apply there and see their financial aid package and then possibly make a decision.

My current gpa: 3.66/4.0 . Made Dean’s list both semesters freshman year.

I’m a cs major (Umass is top 25) and I plan to apply as a cs major to BU.

My highschool gpa was a 3.4 unweighted- mostly A’s but I did have a rough patch in sophomore year with a few D’s and C’s. All honors courses- the highest my highschool offered. No Ap’s offered because it was a poor school- though I still took an AP test and got credit for it.

Sat: 1830 but I don’t think they care about test scores for transfers?

I’m currently in one club and I have an on-campus job.

Don’t know what else to add. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I really want to be able to finish my degree without graduating with tons of debt.

Also does anyone know if BU offers transfer’s scholarships upon admission or do you have to apply for them or what? I think I have decent merit but I also have high need.

Thanks in advance!

I think they do care about SAT scores for transfer students…

It’s not part of their application instructions. Also this site says they do not require SAT scores.
