I've applied EA to chapel hill and have been offered an admission (Im korean by the way. Im living in germany now). If I remember correctly the student body has only one percent international students. Since seventy something percent is suppose to come from the state itself, quite a few newcomers will probably know each other.

Im worried that if i do go, i might have a hard time fitting in among all the north carolineans and the fact that there are so little number of non americans. Could anyone tell me what the atmosphere is like, especially for an international studdent?

Not sure about the university, but Carolina is techincally in the "south", so maybe you might face a tiny bit of intolerance. But hey, that's only stereotyping.

I'm sure it will be fine. Americans will make friends with you at UNC Chapel Hill, so there should be no issue.

My friend from school, got accepted and got the morehead cain last year and he's had an amazing time so far(he's black) and he's from london and for ages people didnt even notice he was british. so i reckon you'll be fine

I have been to UNC's campus several times and have been admitted to study international relations. It is an extremely open campus with students who are generally engaged and open to people of unfamiliar backgrounds. If anything, you'll be paid special attention to and people will reach out for discussion.
