Going to Unifieds first week of Feb., as well as auditioning at DePaul - what should I expect?

Hey everyone! First, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has already helped me, and answered a bunch of my questions up until this point. This forum has been a HUGE resource for me in deciding where I'm going to continue my education. And so after going through the early process of applying, and getting all the universitities the information they needed, etc..., it's all lead to this point

I'll be attending the Unifieds in Chicago, on the 4th of Feb.. The Universities that I will be auditioning for at the Unifieds are: Emerson, NIU, and Point Park University. So I was wondering if anyone who has auditioned for these Universities before, at the Unifieds, can tell me anything and everything that I should expect?

Also, as I mentioned, I will be auditioning for DePaul on that Thursday as well, so the same question for that audition.

Thanks!

Hey! I auditioned for Depaul today at NY Unifieds. It was one of my favorite auditions. There was an information session at the beginning during which the admissions director talking about the process and answered questions. They split us up into two groups afterwards, and each group had a different monologue auditor. We each went in alone to do our monologue in front of whoever our auditor was. I didn’t get any adjustments on mine, but one girl said that a line into the monologue, the auditor made her sit and pretend she was saying it in a coffee shop. After everyone went, there was a class session. It was SO much fun. There was a little movement and voice warmup, and then we did some improvisation exercises. Probably my favorite one was when all of us had to sit in a circle and improvise speaking about a racial issue at a meeting of student leaders, but we could only talk in gibberish. They only called back maybe 8 of the 30 or so people, and I wasn’t one of them. I wasn’t too disappointed, because I knew it was a long shot, and because the audition itself was so much fun. You’re going to have a great time, break a leg :)
