TMDSAS Medical: Residency Information
If I'm reading this correctly then it states that if I own real property and physically live there for twelve consecutive months in Texas then I'll become a Texas resident.

So that means I can own an apartment for twelve months my junior/senior year then I qualify for in state tuition for medical school?

Yes. but you must also intent to remain here in Texas and prove that you didn’t come to Texas just for the intent to study. My friend did this and got instate but not sure how they proved it.

Well, it seems like it would be easy enough to prove by showing a 12 month lease and/or check stubs for a job were you work 20+ hours per week (“gainful employment”). Where does it say that you have to intend to keep living here, though? I didn’t see that part.
