Did anyone apply to the Goizueta Business Scholars program? I know that the Emory Scholars decisions are out...but so far nothing on business, right?

if you applied to both, both decisions come out at the same time.

I have not heard anything from goizueta...has anyone?

I got an email on the 15th about getting an email on the 16th that all Emory and Goizueta scholars received, but I did not receive any email on the 16th and my opus status just says "No notification dates" or something like that.

i, too, received the email on the 15th promising a decision the following day. my opus account says my decision is not yet available and i've received no further emails. i called the admissions office today but i do not think they are open...i'll try again tomorrow

The Goizueta scholars program takes far fewer students than the college's equivalent. I do not know the exact number, but unless things have drastically changed, they take less than ten. When I spoke with one of the admissions women at Goizueta they told me that the aim of the program was to entice applicants who would otherwise go to Wharton.

So just be aware that it is incredibly competitive.

i called admissions today. they said decisions should be released by the end of today

wow. i actually made it into the goizueta scholars semifinalist round...i am really in awe...decisions haven't been finalized yet but i talked to an admissions counselor who gave me some off the record info :)

Congrats! This is a real honor. I doubt i'll get in because someone from my school already got an Emory Scholars, but guess ill just wait till friday.

apparently if you haven't gotten anything yet, it means you are still in the running. they are desperately trying to finalize a group of 10 semifinalists

congrats! and thanks for the update! might i ask which number you called to find out?

so it sounds like they're skipping the semifinalist round and just going straight to picking 10 finalists?

oh...i hadn't known that 10 was the number of finalists. well, you can also log onto your opus account and see if they've assigned you a campus email.

i just called the general undergrad admissions office and was asked to hold many, many times until someone knowledgeable came on the line

still nothing here, anyone else hear?

I didnt hear anything either...

Apparently I do have an email @emory.edu, does that mean anything?

nope, still nothing official.

well if you log into the email account and look around, you'll see an empty folder titled "march interview weekend" and a lot of emails from accepted ED kids introducting themselves so i am guessing (and hoping) that an assigned email means you're in!

uhs and fortune, i got the official email today

I got an email today also about being picked as one of the 12 finalists. But then they mention something about attending for an interview to be considered for the scholarship, so I guess less than 12 ppl are actually getting the full ride scholarship.

I got in finalist as well. Look forward to meeting with some of you!

Congratulations to you!!!

I never received any notification, so I'm guessing I did not make the cut. I can't complain, though, since I was selected as an emory scholars semifinalist.
