Has anyone attended Gold Carpet Day this year? If so, could you tell me what events are included and if it is for students only. My son is scheduled to attend this week, but he hasn’t received a schedule and the website is not very helpful. Many thanks.
This may not be helpful, but it seems to include lunch, touring a dorm, a GT student panel discussion and a tour of the entire campus:
Thanks. I heard from admissions staff. For anyone interested, here are the details. “The first half of the day is for all Gold Carpet day participants that includes an admitted student presentation, a Student/Parent and Young Alumni Panel, and a campus tour. After 12:30 pm, students have the option to have a paid-for lunch in the dining hall and scholarship and financial aid appoints. Residence Life & Dining Services will also host an Open House between 12 pm and 2 pm in the Glenn-Towers Connector Building (Located between Glenn and Towers Residence Halls). Please take advantage of the opportunity to see a residence hall and speak with Housing & Dining Services staff. Tours will be led by Housing staff and will take place every 30 minutes. Pre-registration is not required for all of the events after the campus tour. Gold Carpet Day is mostly geared towards students, however parents are welcome to attend and ask questions.”
