I'm trying to apply for spring 2012. I know speech is one of the golden 4 and you're supposed to finish it by summer but I didn't which is a long non related story. Anyway, will they just automatically reject my application for spring or should I just submit it and cross my fingers they might make an exception? I'm applying to Econ and am already registered for a speech class for this fall starting in two weeks.

Golden Four courses are the “make it or break it” part of the admissions process. If you’re asked to complete all Golden Four courses by the end of the summer term, you must complete them by then. You will not be admitted unless you’ve completed all of your Golden Four courses on time.

Actually I got rejected from Fullerton today because of the Golden 4. I’m doing my Communication class this fall semester. Under the comments on my application, it says “You have not completed all 4 of the basic subjects of General Education by the Summer prior to the Spring semester.” I know some schools count the fall semester like CSU Northridge.
