Golden Gopher App, what's up?

S has been getting a ton of mail and email from UM Twin Cities. They have offered a free application called the Golden Gopher Application. It hasn't been a school on his radar because he is focusing on smaller schools in his search. We are OOS and he's looking at engineering as a major. He'd like to go to a school with a strong co-op engineering program.

Since it will only be the cost of the ACT score to submit (33 composite) and the transcript, should go ahead and apply?

Absolutely! See…

Definitely apply. U-Minn’s application is easy to complete and there is no essay required plus recommendation letters are optional. An ACT score of 33 combined with a high GPA will most likely get some amount of academic/merit money offered along with admittance into the honors program.

Good luck.
