i got a first round interview with Goldman Sachs for Investment Banking and Sales and Trading...any hints on how to prepare? I'll post up some questions they asked me later.

try searching first...

this question comes up every few months, but has been asked numerous times and has been answered.

sorry to sound like a dick, but most of this basic stuff has been covered. if there are more specific questions that haven't been addressed, pls be more specific, and i'm sure there will be people ready to answer.

You can probably contact the career office at your school, they can probably hook you up with some information/advice. It's always good to read up on the company before going into the interview, so that you will be asking the right questions. Other than that, I guess it's just schmoozing the hiring managers.

Since this is an MBA forum, I'm assuming that you are an MBA candidate? Is this an initial interview on campus?

I had the interview, and advanced to the next round. I went to GS for Superday (got interviewed by four people, rigorously), but got turned down. It was disappointing, but I got to know many people. I'm still staying in touch with some, and two of them called me in for another interview later this week. I'm pumped.

BTW, I'm just a sophomore in college. If anyone has questions about the interviews (esp. undergrads), PM me.

Hey, congratulations on securing more interviews. You're interviewing for an intern position, right? What type of questions did they ask? Any brainteasers/math/puzzles? Did they say why they didn't want to take you at this point?
