golf?

is there a golf course near the university?

does anyone know their rates?

There is one just north of the campus, it's the university golf course.

For students, it's $11 for 18 holes, $13 on the weekends. This is going off 2001 rates though, you can be certain it's about $15 now.

Yeah they have a short course and a full 18. It looked pretty nice and the fairways were pretty narrow. It was surprisingly hilly. They have a large driving range setup where there were alot of people.

dude.. are there any frolf courses near the campus? and if there are... are pants required? where im from, we play nude all the time

Ha! This will be the question my younger son asks when he's looking for colleges next year as a h.s. Junior. He's a sophomore on Varsity Lacrosse, starts both ways in football, does intramural volleyball and basketball, but that's not enough fun - he's addicted to frolfing.

You disc nude?

There are 3 courses in Bloomington and IU has a Disc Club.

hahah playin in the nude would feel good but probaly inappropriate especially if ur playin in public LOL

that would be an ungodly sight i hope i never experience

hey man i am hot *sizzle....... psh ur just jealous man. ur lookin at the god of hotness right here baby!!!!

pants better be required

ya ok buddy...we shall see in a few months wont we?

Tripp, that was funny about the first two times and now it's just annoying and offensive.

Frolf is frisbee golf.

when we get to indiana we'll use dcho's naked body as a hole for frolf.

FRISBEE GOLF wow tat is... wow i never heard of tat? how do u play frisbee golf i mean those two things are like as different as oranges and apples!!!

which hole guys?? damn i wanna play too!!!!! we probaly wont be able to play because all the girls will be admiring my hot sexay naked body baby :)

it's actually quite simple...you decide on a "hole," which is really just a target or something you're aiming at. then you make up a minimum number of throws (par) and then you try to hit the target with the disc in as few throws as possible. lowest score wins.

Dcho, my younger son plays this every day in the nice weather. There are cages and you throw the disc into the cage, and score the way you would in golf, counting the number of times you have to throw to get it in the cage. He's always at least twelve under par and has had many holes in one, where it landed in the cage the first time he threw it. If they gave scholarships for frolf, I'd be one happy mom.

Here's a picture of the cage:

OOOOOOOOOOOOO wow tat is like a reallly unique and original game :) ive never heard of it before lol.

it must be a midwest thing cuz i dont kno of anione who playes it here in california, here its either frisbee or golf not combined

also did anyone in this IU forum get a national deans list letter?? seems like a scam.......

No, it's not strictly a midwest thing, just a more obscure thing, and you have to look for actual courses with the cages.

Here's a directory of courses. I see 99 in CA, so go buy a frisbee golf disk (can't be just a frisbee) and try your hand at it. It's fun. I love it, but I stink...lol.
