1) So does FAFSA automatically send the info to all the schools I list? Is there anything I need to do besides listing the school codes?

You would need to check out what school documents are required. Some schools have specialized forms they require in order to qualify for aid, such as CSS, etc. You can typically find this information on their website.

2) I have more than 6 schools to send my FAFSA to...I heared I can add more schools later...is that true? Do I just go right after I submit the FAFSA and add more schools? or do I have to wait? If so how long? and how many additional schools can I add at a time?

You can modify the school listing to add additional schools. You shouod wait until the original has been processed. One problem, though...any corrections you make, such as tax information, will need to be made for each school. Adding more than six schools can make this a very difficult task.

3) After I get taxes done and correct the information on FAFSA form...what exactly happenes? Does FAFSA resend all the accurate information to the colleges listed? Do I need to send anything anywhere?

When you make the corrections, FAFSA will send the updated information to the schools listed on the FAFSA (only the current six.) Sometimes, schools will require documentation to prove the corrections are accurate. They should let you know.

4) When schools evaluate my financial need and make aid offers...in their offers..do they include any federal aid beside the institutional grants the school might give? (federal aid like pell grant, compettitvness grant etc.)

Once the school begins issuing the award packets, it will typically include all forms of federal aid you have qualified for. Sometimes, however, the ACG may be awarded later, as this requires more information than just what is submitted on the FAFSA.

5) I know that some schools select some students for "verification"..if not selected to that...should I still send in any materials to the school/s? like copy of tax forms or W2 forms for the current year (after updating the FAFSA with accurate info)

This will vary by school. Some schools verify 100% of all applicants, regardless of whether you were selected by FAFSA for verification. Also, if the school sees anything on the FAFSA which causes a red flag, they may ask for verification documents. Unless the schools website specifically asks for you to send in verification documents, I would suggest waiting until they ask....unless the FAFSA indicates you HAVE been selected for automatic verification.

Also another question..when the FAFSA is asking "what was your parents adjusted gross income for 2007?" or "how muach did your father/stepfather earn from working in 2007?"... Do I enter numbers based on estimations? or based on last year's numbers? (last years tax and w2 forms)

You would use estimates, just like you do for the student section and then submit updates once your parent(s) have completed their taxes.
