Good 3D animation schools?

I'm planning on going into 3D animation and Graphic Design for Video Games. My options are schools in ether Texas or Colorado though Colorado would be my preference. I need a well balanced program that focuses on 3D animation but teaches about all the different aspects of game design. The main problem with a lot of the schools I've been to is that they generally pick ether Programing or Graphic Arts and only teach that one aspect of game design. The Animation programs generally don't have a game design program to begin with. They assume that just as long as your taught the basicessentialsof Graphic Design, you'll be prepared for any job which isn't entirely true. Is there a good program that actually shows what it's like to work in an actual industry setting? Thus far, all I've seen is the Undergraduate program at Richland College and I'm probably going to have to move back to Colorado. Although I've been trying to sway away from this, I'll probably need to tack a graphic arts certificate onto a traditional Art Degree so that I can have a full artistic background and knowledge. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need a balanced program.

Digipen Institute of Technology (digipen.edu) has four year programs in game programming and animation. I believe the programs are very good, but the school is extremely specialized – there are NO other programs or courses – so be absolutely certain that is what you want to do! Digipen is located in Redmond, Washington next door to Microsoft and Nintendo of America.
