one requirment for uci tag applicants is "will be in good standing for all colleges attended". I had a 1.4 on spring semester 2013 so i recieved a probation academic. Now, im going back to being in good academic standing. Do i still qualify for uci tag?

Yes it means currently not previously

Good job on the improvement :).

Thanks!! This semester just over with 4 A’s and 1 B. My gpa is 3.35 now. And i’ll take calculus 1 and retake statistic this summer. Another question, I got two F’s before, one i have retook already and got an A, the other one is statistic which i will retake this summer. im just wondering how bad will these two F’s look like on my transcript. Does it have an effect on transfer?

Wow, doing great. The UCs are pretty understanding about goof-ups, especially if they’re just kind of bunched in one area. Whatever your reason (you weren’t ready, family problems, whatever) just explain it when the time comes. Your turnaround will certainly impress them. They like seeing people pick themselves up. It shows character. Don’t worry about those Fs.

If you’re retaking the same class, at the same school, you’ll be fine. After you complete the course, just make sure your school replaces the old grade with the new one.

Last summer I retook a class I failed, and afterwards both classes were part of my gpa. I didn’t know I needed to fill out a grade replacement form. Super easy and quick, but I just didn’t know.
