Hey guys,

I have a very general question. My SAT score was not too great (2190), but I got a 35 composite on my ACT. My SAT IIs are phenomenal, however.

The Ivies I'm applying to do not accept Score Choice for the majority. So, that means I must send in my SAT, SAT II, and ACT. Will colleges ignore the bad SAT and just look at the better ACT score...or will my SAT score drag me down? Thanks!

They will consider your highest grade. And a 2190 isn’t as bad as you suggest, so you’re in no danger.

First, a 2190 is not bad by any means. It’s roughly the equivalent of a 33 on the ACT. Secondly, they will consider your higher score anyway, which is the 35 on the ACT in this case.

Peyton, I was under the impression that a 33 was equiv to a 2220-2250.
May I please ask for your source?
Sorry! I’m not trying to be snobby, I’m generally wondering if my source was off now.
