Hi, I’m currently an OOS junior who finished taking the ACT and SAT twice each. Here are my scores:
ACT:
32 (35W, 32M, 32R, 29S)
35 (36W, 34M, 35R, 36S)
SAT:
1410 (690M, 720R)
1480 (750M, 730R)
I understand that all schools in the UC system require every SAT that you have taken. Will the lower SAT scores negatively impact me in any way during the admissions process for Berkeley?
You have to send either all of your ACT scores or all of your SAT scores to the UC schools. You do not have to send both of them. Also, you only have to send either all of your ACT scores or SAT scores to one UC school because the one UC school will share your scores with the rest of the UC schools.
Only send the ACT score. You must send EITHER all ACT OR all SAT scores. A 35 is outstanding, so you’re set. Congratulations, you can now move on to SAT Subjects and the rest of your application!
Your 35 is terrific. But they are all in the “great enough” category, so don’t worry that it looks “off”. (If you got 1000, 1020, a 22 and a 35, then yes, that would probably impact you there.)
Thank you all for the responses; I’m a little less worried now. I have taken Math II and am awaiting my score, and I know that if I send that score College Board also sends my SAT I scores. That is why I was concerned.
