I was shooting for a 30, but I wound up scoring a 29. Is this good enough in your opinion for Southern California?
Thanks for your responses.

I think it is good enough for USC! 29 is a great score.

I had a 29 on my ACT also, and was able to get into USC. Then again, that was two years ago, and standards keep rising, but I think the average was still a 28 this past year. Not sure though. Sounds like if your other stats match up to this score, you have a good chance.

uschika,

do you have a AIM name? I'd like to talk to you if possible. thanks.

I also want to apply to USC but ended up with a 28 ACT--hoping for a 30. I have a 3.95 unweighted GPA in my high school's honors program. Would it be a waste of $65. to apply or could I have a chance??

TheFuture- I sent you a PM.

mckx2- A 28 is nothing to sneeze at, and definitely shouldn't keep you from applying. Your gpa is great for being unweighted (the avg weighted is 4.0, so you're above that I'm sure if you're taking APs). I don't know anything else about your stats or your ECs, but you sound like you have a great chance. Besides, it never hurts to try. I applied to Berkeley, and even USC, not thinking I'd get in, and I did, so you never know.
