I'm looking for a backpack that can hold an laptop, a binder, and one or two textbooks.

Ebags.com.

My jansport has lasted me over 7 years now, and I lug everything in that bag.
You can get a really good one for ~$50.

Yeah, I abused a Jansport backpack for four years in college and it’s still kicking. I went through literally a half dozen in highschool before getting the jansport.

I had the same jansport from seventh grade through my senior year of high school. I can still probably get another good year, maybe two, out of it but I bought another jansport for college because i wanted a laptop pouch. I’ll continue buying jansport. My sister though has had good luck with northface. It’s served her well in two years of school, two trips around europe and a trip to guatemala and she can be abusive to bags. But I’d still go with jansport.

Northface backpack

Wenger backpacks have a lot of room and have a laptop sheath in the back, which is nice. Don’t know about durability, as I’ve only had mine for a year, but it seems to last fine.

Jansport all the way. I had a friend who had hers for six years in junior high and high school. Mine survived a trek around Europe, and I plan to use it for my last year of high school and into college.

I do like jansports as well. My backpack is from HP and looks like new after three years, and I beat the hell out of it.

I really like my Dakine backpack, and that’s after I was WAY into Jansport. I used to not carry anything but Jansport until I found my Dakine. They’re the same material as Jansport but hey’re lined inside; nuff said.

+1 for Dakine

I’m using Jansport and Eastpak, North Face is pretty sturdy too. :)

If youre looking for quality, Id suggest go for a name brand like Briggs & Riley. They have a few [computer backpacks](http://www.briggs-riley.com/category/group.aspx?cat=computer-backpacks) that offer great organization and comfort. The price (which can be a little high) is nicely offset by their unconditional lifetime warranty.

Booq, Briggs and Riley, Tom Bihn

I just got a Jansport which seems pretty good. It’s my first one xD

$240 for a backpack lol

Why would you spend more than maybe, $60 for a backpack?!?

Well many people spend $200+ on a pair of jeans… I don’t see why $240 on a backpack is so surprising.

Tom Binh makes excellent computer bags, but they don’t have an excellent, strictly book bag type backpack. Plus, they’re pretty expensive.

I would second the recommendation of Jansports. LL Bean also makes really high quality bags. I have one from the 2nd grade that’s still functional. I personally use/own a Northface bag, but many people on here think it’s too expensive/trendy.

I don’t see why you would spend $200+ on a pair of jeans either!
