good backpack?

Well I have a $200+ book bag. I carry a heavy load and its design makes it more comfortable. Also I carry around a laptop among other expensive electronics and it provides extra protection for unseen accidents. In addition, I have never had the backpack rip nor I have never had the zippers jam or break, unlike many other cheaper book bags I have owned like Jansport and such. It ends up paying for itself in durability and protecting my stuff… at least in my case. The original poster asked for recommendations on high-end book bags for laptop and books, so I assume he or she had issues with cheaper book bags in the past.

North face. /thread

I would consider Dakine a nice higher end backpack (than Jansport anyways). Ogio has some extremely nice features as well. Both run from $40-$90 depending on the style you choose.

Mine’s an LLBean, and it’s lasted me 7 years so far. My last LLBean lasted me 8 years til I decided I wanted an updated one, but it still has plenty of wear left in it. I believe they also have a lifetime garauntee and they run from $20-60 depending on style: [Backpacks: Luggage at L.L.Bean](http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/506219?page=school-backpacks)

This one has a spot for a laptop and is about $50: <a href=“L.L.Bean: Page Not Available”>L.L.Bean: Page Not Available;

i literally had my jansport backpack from 4th grade to senior year… it was a joke between my friends and me about how long i had it and how i would never retire it. it’s stil a great backpack, but i decided to get a new one for college.

My backpack is comfortable, protects my laptop and all my heavy books, looks brand new after three years, and the zippers have never jammed or broken either… and my bag was like $50.

I use a Northface. Almost every single day for two school years and counting–it still looks new.

I wanted a new Northface but to save money, I guess I’m going to have to use my old Jansport from high school.

The Timbuk2 bags are pretty good and they are at okay prices but the shipping is very pricey. You can even make your own bag…

I got the medium black Swig (on a different website due to sale+free shipping) very roomy and it feels like it can last for seven years. It fits my laptop, a few notebooks, and books,

I’ve never had luck with Jansport… the cheapness shows IMO. They always tear. LL Bean is really good, I used that one in high school… but I thought it’d be to juvenile for college, so I got a North Face, which has held up well.

The LLBean with the laptop compartment (the link I posted above) doesn’t look juvenile imo. I think it’s a newer style?

Yeah, it looks like a newer style… they didn’t have that one when I bought mine. I don’t really like how it looks, though. LL Bean’s lifetime guarantee is pretty great!

I love LLBean…I’m pretty sure I’ve never owned anything but an LLBean since 1st grade.
