You're in the hunt, don't bank on it but you never know.

What would you call Vanderbilt? Match or safety? I don't think it's a reach with my SAT, or anything else really.

ODU in Norfolk Virginia has an outstanding BS/MD program. ODU is affiliated with Eastern Virginia Medical School. Good Luck!

I've never heard of ODU, I'll look in to it. Thanks.

I wouldn't go that route. I know tons who have gone to lesser 6-7 year programs and regretted it. Do you really want to go to ODU? Where you go doesn't matter that much if you want to be a doctor but it matter a little. Its not your patients that care, but your fellow doctors DO notice and they are the ones who make you chief of staff and refer you patients.

I have never even heard of ODU it was just his suggestion.

Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, a large public university. It is primarily a commuter school and Norfolk is not such a great city, BUT.....it is 20 minutes from the beach. The best part is that ODU is affliliated with Eastern Virginia Medical School. The Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine is in the same complex. Also Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughters. Sentara Nofolk General is ranked high in the country for their top Cardiac Center. ODU's BS/MD program is worth looking into. Just a suggestion, and best of luck.
