Good business books

Recommend good business books in this thread. Name a book, and tell what it is about. Also tell what level you should be at to be able to read this. For example, entry level, MBA student, future management consultant , etc.

Books can be about,

-business in general
-making money books
-good financial tips books
-industry specific books

Just any book, that you think was worth reading, whether it was industry specific, or in general, just recommend some. It can be for entry-level business studetns, all the way to PhD..

Accounting 101.

A book I just started that seems interesting to me…

Yes! 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive

The book explains different studies and how they changed things to make people act a certain way. It’s a great book so far, but I haven’t finished it. I think it would be an interesting read for a business major, but anyone can read it (I’m only in high school). My dad (who was a mechanical engineer) also read the book and enjoyed it.

Books are great, but the are nothing unless you use them.

I like the Strength Finder series, though many people degrade them.

I also like Critical Chain and The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt

I wouldn’t waste time with more than one leadership book like “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership”, after that you’re just reading for fun.

Atlas Shrugged

I have been recommended “Who Moved My Cheese” on several occasions, never read it though, and it’s really short.

Others?

billion dollar lessons

bargaining for advantage

An Empire of Wealth by John Steele Gordon. It’s an economic history of the United States from the times of the colonies to the decades after World War II.

It’s 400-something pages (which means that it’s not all that thorough), but it’s not a difficult read (it was written in 2004), so I’d say it’s pretty accessible to anyone with an interest in history.
