As we welcome in a new Year, 2013, we should spend some time in the Past.

What are things you wish you had done?
What are things you wish you hadnt done?
What is a bragging right you earned last year?
What is an embarrissing moment of the past?
1st:
I wish i had gone after her. I wish had learned to take critism better. I wish I had started working out sooner.
2nd:
I wish i didnt get mad at them that one time. I wish i didnt forget to turn my Spanish homework. I wish i hadnt forgot my speech during an oral presentation.
3rd:
I earned Eagle Scout!
4th:
Sleeping through a homily at a church camp and then trying to answer the questions without knowing what happened

What I wish I had done:
I wish I had gone to a summer research program. I wish I figured out how to study better.

What I wish I hadn’t done:
I wish I hadn’t believed that AB Calc was significantly easier than BC Calc (at least at my school). I wish I hadn’t gotten some bad grades.

A bragging right I earned: Siemens semifinalist!

Embarrassing moment: I accidentally accused the wrong person of something.

This year wasn’t good for me. Hopefully 2013 will be better…

What I wish I had done:
I honestly wish I had joined CC earlier so that I could have found out more about how much I’m missing at my high school. CCers are great!
I also wish I could have kept a strong relationship with God-I was doing great for the first half of the year and then it all collapsed in July…

What I wish I hadn’t done: I wish I hadn’t procrastinated this break so that I wouldn’t be working my butt off now. I wish I hadn’t chosen such a time-consuming Personal Project. I wish I hadn’t agreed to sacrifice my sleep for silly things before school.

A bragging right I earned: I got 2nd in my grade in a state-wide math competition!! :D

Embarrassing moment: Really early in the morning one day, I was correcting someone’s crossword and was trying to solve a word by thinking out loud-I said, “Wait, ‘self’ isn’t a word…” :P

Anyway, 2012 was kind of a lukewarm year, which I hate. I wish it would have been more decisive, either good or bad. I have been LOVING this school year, though. :)

What are things you wish you had done?
I wish I’d actually studied, and I wish I could bring myself to get off the computer like, right now, and do my homework. I wish I had been a good student and joined summer programs.

What are things you wish you hadn’t done?
I wish I hadn’t procrastinated, and I wish I hadn’t spent the entire year gaming, destroying my eyesight in the process. I wish I hadn’t been such a slacker, and I wish I hadn’t sat in front of the computer instead of exercising.

What is a bragging right you earned last year?
I finally quit being a game addict.

What is an embarrassing moment of the past?
Forgot how to play a piece mid-concert and had to restart. Four times.

What are things you wish you had done?
Joined more clubs. Worked harder in school.
What are things you wish you hadnt done?
Tried to test out of physics.
What is a bragging right you earned last year?
33 on the ACT. Well, it’s not a bragging right on CC, I guess.
What is an embarrissing moment of the past?
This was 2006, but both of my feet fell asleep and I fell on my face several times in front of a bunch of people on my first day at a new school.

I wish I had studied for my last grammar test. I wish I would’ve eaten healthier and exercised more. I wish I would’ve been less shy in class. I wish I would’ve become more dedicated to playing piano.

I wish I wouldn’t have neglected to study for my Latin final exam last year so that I could’ve kept an A. I wish I wouldn’t have tried out for any sports.

I got a 214 on my sophomore PSAT!

An embarrassing moment was during the summer when I was on vacation with my friend’s family and I crashed her aunt’s golf cart into a sign, haha.

I wish I had exercised more and studied harder. I also wish I had put more time into my robotics team. And been more friendly. I am not an unfriendly person – I actually love to help people in any way I can – but I am rather shy and socially awkward, which apparently has led multiple people to tell my brother I am mean. (??? I did not even know some of them knew I existed. . . .)

I wish I had not procrastinated so much. This last year has been a bad year for procrastination. Like right now. =/

I got a 240 on my freshman PSAT! =)

Oh . . . too many embarrassing moments. I am one of those people that find everything I do embarrassing. I need to get over that. In general, just my socially awkward moments and random times where I mess up a presentation or a test.

Studied more, practiced more.

Mess up my Key Club speech and embarrass myself. (Well, I think I did poorly)

I may not even have a chance at top 10, but I did get the highest grade in AP Calculus BC (it’s the highest 24 students in math at the school)/Statistics/Physics. Rawr. And 1st and second places at various math competitions county-wide and NorCal wide at the BC level while in AB.

My horrendous speech! It’s on youtube :P. And it has geometric means in it and I’m talking about running for Treasurer–

One time I was giving a speech about something and I had all these thoughts prepared for what I was going to say and I got up there and started talking and I started getting nervous and repeating myself and about a minute in I just said, “You know, I’m really shy” and left. It wasn’t fun.

Tried harder but there’s still 3 weeks left to fix my grades. I wish I had played basketball. I could’ve gotten back onto the team if I had kept in contact with the coach.

Uh I’m pretty happy about everything. I guess I’ve stressed some of my relationships by saying some jerky things. I wished I hadn’t messed around in all of my classes this semester.

Highest PSAT and ASVAB scores in school. Amount of girls I got at winter formal dance jk haha.

A couple awkward moments nothing really embarrassing except for when I told the district about our administrations mistreatment of a gay teacher. I’m glad I did it but it was embarrassing getting called into the principals office the next day.

What are things you wish you had done?
I wish I had taken more advantage of the opportunities I could have had, wish I did more work during the summer, wish I tried harder

What are things you wish you hadnt done?
Transferred to private school

What is a bragging right you earned last year?
Taking the hardest classes in history of hard classes, got 99th percentile overall on entrance exam (SSAT), got a scholarship for half of the tuition at my school, probably ranked 1 in grade, won a couple of awards for scientific research, got a good citizenship award

What is an embarrissing moment of the past?
SO MANY LOL. Various contretemps with teachers, potential bfs, friends.
Went through a horrible hipster phase where I camwhored all summer, looking back I think I looked stupid.
Oh yeah and I had a weeaboo phase. I’m Chinese but… yeah it was horrible. I’d be like “kawaii-desu desu” while talking to my friends who were also affected by weebishness. We’d sing anime theme songs and vocaloid during lunch (off-tune and reading the lyrics in romaji) … I was OBSESSED with anime. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.

I wish I opened up a little more, and I wish I hadn’t procrastinated so much.

I wish I hadn’t been so stressed out.

Getting into Harvard and meeting President Obama.

OMG, this was so embarrassing. One of my friends was “going for a drive” after a dance, but I must’ve been too tired or whatever from planning pep rally and the dance that week because I asked if I could catch a ride with her! (I thought she was meeting us up at McDonalds) Ooops, I was mortified. :/

** What are things you wish you had done? **
Gone to more parties that I had been invited to and started studying AP Chem (general chem) earlier.

** What are things you wish you hadn’t done? **
I wish I hadn’t wasted as much time on things that were and are irrelevant. I wish I had been nicer to some people also. I also wish I hadn’t been as open about things as I was.

** What is a bragging right you earned last year? **
I adjusted okay to a completely new environment and made the best of it somewhat. Some academic stuff turned out all right, too.

** What is an embarrassing moment of the past? **
Got into a huge, rather disrespectful argument with someone I greatly respect and care for because they were trying to warn me about something and I didn’t believe them. Turns out, they were right. Ah, well.

Overall, considering the circumstances and everything- things went fine. It wasn’t as tumultus as perhaps 2011 and maybe not as fun as 2009/2010. 2013 is bound to be an exciting year.

What are things you wish you had done?
Wish I’d done a little better in school, wish I’d been nicer to some people.

What are things you wish you hadn’t done?
I wish I hadn’t procrastinated as much and not slacked off as much.

What is a bragging right you earned last year?
Highest grades in a couple of my classes, which wouldn’t normally be such a big deal, but it was in 2 classes that are known for being notoriously hard to get good grades in.

What is an embarrassing moment of the past?
Hmmm…probably saying some stupid stuff/looking really stupid a couple of times when I had to give a presentation in front of the class.

Wish I’d figured out that I need to study for AP Chem earlier. Wish I’d spent more time with friends. Studied more for the PSAT. Enjoyed my last season of marching band with my friend.

Nothing comes immediately to mind.

Broke 2000 on my SAT in October.

Every time I had to speak in front of the class.

Adding another one:
What’re you glad you did this year?

Told a friend how important he is to me (didn’t mean for it to turn into a 15 page text though… oops). So far, it has changed our friendship (for the better, thank god).

Went ahead with taking 3 APs. I haven’t gotten stellar grades, but I’ve learned a TON more than my friends who took all honors.

Formed a friendship with 4 other people in percussion (went out to see the Hobbit & ate at Panera’s with them earlier, actually)

Started taking piano lessons again

Started reading again

Wish I went after girls I liked. Wish I didn’t waste time during the summer. Wish I studied more for the SAT during the summer.

Nothing comes to my mind. I did say something hurtful to my dad back in the earlier part of the year, but its all good now.

Got straight As for the whole year for the first time in my life.

Stumbling in poetry out loud.

This year was pretty good. Fastest year of my life by far! Went by so fast. Every year goes by faster and faster.
