I don't have time for the Gruber's/Barron's 3400 word list, but I need to get all the sentence completions right.

Princeton Review Hit Parade(150)
RocketReview-(323)
Sparknotes(1000)+(250)
Barron's 2400(200)
Gruber's(423)

I realize that it's not the #s that count(I shouldn't be asking EXACTLY how many I should learn), and words will be repeated on these lists, but do I have a good chance of getting them all right with this list? What did you guys do to learn words? Also, I do have a mini-dictionary with me to look up new words.

Okay, you don’t NEED to get all the sentence completions right.

Gruber’s is a good list. I don’t think you need to study all the lists. Anyway, I thought Gruber’s had the top 3400. Would Gruber’s contain all the Princeton Review and RocketReview and Sparknotes words?

Just learn as many as you can. If you memorize all the words, you’d probably be able to figure out all the sentence completions. But nothing’s guaranteed. Make sure you use the words in everyday conversation. Whenever you’re reading and run across a new word, look it up.

i just did most of PR list and went 19/19 on jan, a good amount of words on the test were ones i’d reviewed
