Good college in Georgia for biology major?

So, I'm a junior in high school and I have my heart set out on majoring in something biology related (I'm trying to keep my options open to more than just straight biology, like maybe something like Biochemistry and whatnot). So far I'm going to apply to Georgia Tech, Emory, and UGA, but I'm not even sure about those schools since I here mixed comments on them in terms of their biology program which is the only thing that concerns me. I'm not really looking for a lively atmosphere and I don't mind a quiet, boring one either. I'm also not sure if I'll be living on campus or at home. I haven't taken the SAT or ACT so I can't really give any kind of academic's here. I'd apperciate anyones help
P.S. I hope to god this is where this forum goes because I wasn't sure...

Check out Georgia College in Milledgeville:
[Biological & Environmental Sciences | Arts and Sciences | Georgia College](http://www.gcsu.edu/biology/index.htm)

It’s incredibly popular among students and has an excellent Biology program. You’ll have to be committed to living on-campus though.

If you’re female, Agnes Scott would be worth a look.

Emory has a small but strong biology department, with a good faculty. University of Georgia has a huge department, a great deal of grant support, and opportunities to study at facilities such as the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, marine-bi0ology labs on the Georgia and Carolina coasts, and an affiliated campus in Costa Rica where you can study rain-forest flora/fauna/ecosystems. If you are research-oriented, I’d recommend UGA.

Don’t know if you’re constraining your search to GA because of the lottery scholarship, but if you’re in a county that borders Tennessee, then you’re eligible for the TN lottery scholarship as well. In which case I’d recommend you look at Rhodes.

Its nothing like that lynxinsider, I just don’t want to leave the state because I (sadly) like it here to much and I can’t imagine leaving my mom in this big house all alone…
Also thanks to those who commented. I’ll look into everything you suggested. (Always looking for more though!)

Bump!!! I’m not satisfied yet…
