Good college list for me?

I'm a junior looking to try to find, of course, the right college for myself. I have visited a few and have more to visit, but need to figure out what colleges I should really be looking at. I have a list of schools that I think are in my academic range and fit some of my other criteria. Help me out - let me know if I have chances at these schools and suggest some others? I wasn't sure if this should be put in the College Search and Selection forum or this one, so I decided to just throw it here.

I am planning to get a degree in economics as well as study a foreign language or two (Spanish, German?). Maybe or maybe not a minor.

GPA: 3.98 UW, 4.5 W (A+ = 4.3 UW 5.3 W)
SAT: 2130 (680 CR/800 M/650 W). I think I can get my writing up to at least 700, hopefully a 750, and the CR hopefully up to at least a 700.
ACT: taking it in June, but got a 30 on a practice test

ECs..
School clubs
- Newspaper: feature editor soph and junior year, copy editor and writer freshman year, running for editor-in-chief next year (elections on Tuesday...very excited and nervous. Running against two of my best friends. Should be..interesting.) If I don't get that I'll be the Feature Editor again
- Key Club member, running for board position for next year
- Frisbee club member
- NHS member
- Spanish Honor Society member
- Spring track sophomore, junior, senior year
- Winter track junior, senior year
Work experience
- Umpiring softball since freshman year
- Gym supervisor sophomore, junior and probably senior year unless I get another job

I'm from NJ if that changes anything. If I missed anything or you want to know anything else, let me know.

Boston College (visited, loved)
George Washington (visited, liked)
UNC Chapel Hill
NYU (will visit...40 minutes away)
Georgetown (visited, liked/loved)
University of Michigan (will visit at some point definitely. Really like the idea of it)
Northwestern University (visiting this summer)
UVA
USC
Stanford

Bueller? Bueller?

Before I say anything, I should qualify my guesses by saying that our profiles are really similar. You’ll end up with a higher SAT than me (by ~50 points or so, I’m guessing), but otherwise, it’s like I’m chancing myself. And that ain’t exactly the most objective position to be in.

But just for fun:

BC: Match
GW: Match
UNC: Low Reach
NYU: Low Match
Georgetown: Mid Reach
Michigan: High Match
Northwestern: Mid Reach
UVA: Mid Reach
USC: Low Reach
Stanford: High, high reach

If I was a betting man, I’d bet you’re in at NYU, USC, BC, GW, and one of the other non-Stanford places.

BC: Match
GW: Low Match
NC: Reach
NYU: Match
GTown: Reach
UMich: Match
NW: Reach
UVA: Low Reach
USC: Match
Stanford: Reach
You will get into at least a few of the non matches. Good luck with the process! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1055573-i-know-its-early-but-chances-junior.html</a></p>

What are my chances at Northwestern, specifically? The more and more I read, the more and more it jumps out as my #1 choice.

Your test scores presently are a little low for NU. Your stats and resume match up nicely for BC and a few additional points on your next SAT test would only increase your chances that much more. I think you’re going to need to be in the mid 2200 range for solid chances at NU. My S was just waitlisted there this year with a 2230 (SATII- 800m/760physics,760lit), 3.8uw, 4.6w, top 3%, nice EC’s, etc.

Edit: As far as your list goes, I would add a financial Safety to your list of schools.

Perfect, just what I was looking for. Thanks for your input! I think I can get my SAT up - anywhere from a 2150 to a 2300 if I ace the writing. Realistically, I’m expecting something like (700/800/730) and hoping they superscore so I don’t have to worry about math.

As far as financial safeties go, do you mean a school where I know I can get scholarships, or one that is already cheap? Because I’m not getting any need based financial aid unless something terrible happens. Thanks for your help!

I think everything looks really good! If you get your sat up to a 2250+ and get a 33+ up on your SAT I’d say you’re a match for everything except maybe a mid reach for Stanford!
Chance me back?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1135547-chance-me-please-uh-mano-i-promise-ill-chance-you-back.html</a></p>

Def keep NU on your list. With goood recommendations and amazing essays you can def get in. I applied and got in  but I unfortunately cannot afford it. But my SAT scores where 100 less then yours. I did however have a varied EC and Community service list and my essay was really good. So just keeping moving on the track your on because you never know where it’ll take you
