Hey, I’m a rising senior and I just made a college list that I’m hoping to get some advice on. I’m not sure if I have enough of matches/safeties and if I even have a chance at the schools I’m reaching for (nyu, usc, etc).
Here’s my list so far:
University of Washington
UC Irvine
UVA
USC
University of Texas, Austin
Loyola Marymount University
San Diego State University
Boston University
Villanova University
NYU
Fordham University
Here are some of my stats, feel free to ask if I’m missing anything:
Overall Weighted GPA: 4.15
Overall Unweighted GPA: 3.85
New SAT (October): 1450
AP’s: US History (5), Psychology (5), Spanish Language (5), English Language and Composition (5), Calculus AB (5), World History (3)

-Student Worker at school cafe 4 days a week (11th Grade)

-1st place Junior Achievement Company Program - CFO (11th Grade)
-AP Scholar with Distinction
Note - I’ve helped care for my grandmother with alzheimer’s ever since she was diagnosed when I was in elementary school, so advisors have told me I should add that to my application since i’ve spent a lot of my time with her and it has shaped my identity so much.
State: CA
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Asian (I’m Filipino, but I don’t know if this makes any difference in helping or hurting me)
Income: over 200k
I am leaning towards pursuing business in the future so I’m primarily looking for schools with good undergrad business programs. Although I have mostly west coast and northeast colleges on my list, I am open to schools almost anywhere. I’m just looking to get away from home and gain a new experience living in a different setting. Any advice you may have on other schools that would be a good fit for me and on whether this college list is balanced are greatly appreciated.
