Good College List?

Once again, thank you sacchi.

Would you clarify the good placement? Are you saying that Colgate grads have an easy time finding jobs or tend to get into good graduate programs?

I don’t know anything about Colgate specifically, but LACs in general do an amazing job at getting their students into grad school. It’s largely due to the close relationships students get with professors - letters of recommendation are a huge part of grad school admissions.

And I also agree with an earlier poster that Haverford would be a good match for you, especially if you’re interested in the Quaker flavor that they have.

I meant business job placement, including Wall Street. See from Colgate’s career services website the companies that recruit there.

And, not that I really have much confidence in Payscale’s numbers, but Colgate’s alumni have higher mid-career salaries than any other LAC (except Harvey Mudd, which I don’t think is really a fair comparison since it is an engineering school), probably because of its Wall Street placement.

I don’t have any ties to Colgate, or any particular knowledge about it beyond what I learned when my son was college hunting 3 years ago.

That’s a pretty exciting list…
Thank you for providing me with so much information.
