Good colleges for Majoring in Psychology?

I'm interested in studying Pstchology when I go to college, but does anyone know any good colleges for me?

I'm from Chicago, Illinois, I do not have the highest grades of the class, but I consistently score high on various State-Mandatory tests.

(And Bonus Question: How high would my GPA and SAT scores need to be?)

psych is a pretty big department at most schools, but some are known more than others. I recommend Boston U and Clark U. Generally, though, most large research and top private schools will have great psych departments.

I’ve heard Brandeis University is good for psychology.

Clark University

Vanderbilt’s Peabody school of child education and physicology would be great if you have good grades / can test well.

Most likely need a 2000+ on SAT or 29+ ACT.

BUT, no requirements. Just a suggestion

Wisconsin-Madison, need a 3.6+ UW GPA and a 28+ on the ACT.

Surprisingly, you might consider Illinois Institute of Technology right in Chicago - psychology is a strong department in an otherwise engineering/architecture-centric school. Admissions tends to be pretty stats oriented, so doing well on standardized tests would be a plus.

honestly, you will find a solid psych department at about every decent school.

what are your stats like? what type of school are you looking for- location, size, feel of campus, etc.

University of Michigan.
