Good Colleges in WA?

I want to stay in state (Washington), but want to go to a great school (choices seem limited). What are some good options? I have a hard time deciphering the "advertisements" I get from colleges and the real facts about them.

Whitman has an excellent reputation, if you are interested in LACs.

I agree with Florus, Whitman has an excellent (and growing) national reputation. There are some other great options as well. Why don't you tell us what you are looking for in terms of size, public vs. private, cost, possible majors, etc.? Or, just tell us the schools you are considering and we can give you some feedback?

Top schools I would recommend:

University of Washington Honors Program (very competitive to get into, essay very important)

Whitman -- great school in a rather remote location

University of Puget Sound -- beautiful campus, good school

Hope this is helpful.

i would definitely agree with all the above recommendations.
Also, seattle university has some great programs (particularly nursing).. it may not have much of a nat'l rep, but smallish catholic colleges dont get the nat'l rep they deserve ever.

Thanks! That pretty much reinforced what I have recently discovered!! I appreciate the replies!
