Good colleges with deadlines that haven't passed???

Hi All!

I applied to a lot of really tough schools, but I’m getting nervous about the fact that I only applied to a few schools that I know I’ll get into. I’ve been accepted to my safety (Loyola of Chicago) with a really big scholarship, but I kinda went all or nothing and applied there, and then to a whole bunch of sub 15% acceptance rate colleges.

I have a 1480/1600 SAT I and a 92.5 GPA.
I also am a professional ballerina while still attending my regular private high school (I just miss 8 hours of school every day) and taking 6 classes (plus 2 self-study APs).

With my insane schedule because of my job, I’ve had a downward trend in grades and recently got a C in a class because I had a teacher that refused to work with my schedule. My ability to do well in school really depends on the teacher I have…so I have mostly As this year, and then some teachers who don’t agree with what I’m doing and are unwilling to work with me. I’m getting really concerned about my ability to get into selective schools and want to apply (albeit last minute) to some schools that are more of a “fit” or are even certainties, if you know what I mean.

Williams
University of Southern California
University of Richmond
University of At. Andrew’s (Scotland)

Out of those, I’m reasonably certain that I’ll be accepted to Richmond and St. Andrew’s. Out of the other three, I might get into one.

Any suggestions on schools with application deadlines that HAVE NOT already passed??? Please no Midwest or Southern schools…I live in the South and I’m sick of it here lol

Major? Budget? Do you plan to dance while in college?

Why no Midwest? There are a lot of Midwest LACs on the “space available” list every spring.

I think you have to go back a month to see the schools closing today.

If you go onto the Common App you can search schools by deadline, some of which are tonight. I know Temple, which would be more of a safety for you, has a Feb deadline, but otherwise I think the majority of schools close tonight.

Are you not happy with your safety option? Since you were accepted with a really big scholarship, why submit more apps?

Bryn Mawr, Kenyon, Skidmore, U Puget Sound, Butler (for their innovative dance program), Tulane (although you did say not Southern…), and Simmons.

Colgate and Gettysburg both have February 15 deadlines, I believe (they sent me lots of emails…)

I am not so sure about that. UR is getting harder to get into as 1) it gives very good merit aid and 2) it is a very popular back-up school for kids applying to top state and private schools from DC to GA. Your chances there are probably 50:50.
