self studying the next two
AP Physics: I am guessing a 5
AP US History: I am guessing a 4
ACT: plan on getting at least a 34
SAT: at least a 2250
SAT II: Math II and Physics probably, will aim for at least a 750 on physics and a 800 on the math

EC's:
Debate Team: Maybe a position on the e-board by junior year (9,10,11,12)
FBLA: Chapter treasurer junior year and will run for either VP or Pres. next year and also area and state offices. Hope to win state in Banking and Financial systems next year and goto nationals and place there (9,10,11,12)
Investment Club: President and Founder(10,11,12)
Science Club: hope to place in some engineering competition at state next year (11,12)
TEAMS: JV next year and varsity member senior year (11,12)
NHS: (12)

By the time I apply I will have 4.1 gpa weighted out of a maximum 4.85 I believe and 3.8/4.0 unweighted. I will have unfortunately a 20% class rank. I am pretty I can get a good rec. from my counselor. I don't know if this helps or not but I am a first gen. immigrant.

Some colleges I am considering are Cornell for ECE, applying ED, UIUC, and Purdue as a safety. What are some other colleges you guys suggest? Thanks

I can tell you firsthand that Cornell ECE is an awesome program. Be prepared to work. "Building character" (i.e. work ethic, performing under pressure, managing time and tasks) is part of the curriculum. The department chairperson told me this. Overall, Cornell is a wonderful environment. But, you probably won't have much time to fully enjoy it until you are an alum.

Carnegie Mellon is known for Comp Sci and Comp Eng.

ECE programs are classified under electrical for the Gourman Report:

Do you think I have a good shot at Cornell though?

Collegehelp, the Gourman Report rankings are dated. In instances where there are no recent reliable program rankings, falling back on Gourman is fine. But For Engineering, the USNWR publishes more recent rankings.

If you're looking at rankings, I would go with Gourman over US News. Their rankings are much more accurate.

I saw them talk about Polytechnic University and I am going to be a freshman there next year. It is a good electrical engineering school(I am also majoring in that) in brooklyn, NY. They have alot of indian/asian- 40% and
white-50%.

lol, they have all the rankings....
