Good Computer Science Programs?

Hello, I'm a high school senior looking to major in Computer Science. What are some good programs that I have a good chance of getting into? I'm from Southern California, but I'm open to out of state schools. Specifically I'm trying to look for more info on private schools as I am already applying to UCI, UCSD, and several other UC's. I'm also applying to Cal Poly Pomona and Cal SLO

Class Rank: 60/727 (Top 8%)
GPA: 3.77 Weighted (About 3.6 unweighted

SAT
3/10/2012
Reading – 710
Math – 700
Writing – 650
Reading+Math=1410
10/1/2011
Reading – 780
Math – 650
Writing – 590
Reading+Math= 1430

I’d appreciate any input!

What about Harvey Mudd?
And USC is good too.

USC is pretty obvious, but it is similarly or only slightly less selective than UCLA. Caltech and Harvey Mudd are more selective.

Cost constraints? Try the net price calculator / financial aid estimator on each college’s web site.

Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Stony Brook, and NCSU are relatively low list price for out of state and not super-selective.

Consider San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz for proximity to Silicon Valley computer companies (relatively convenient for interviewing for jobs).

Stony Brook [mentioned by ucbalumnus] is a SUNY all the way out in Long Island, NY. I know you said you were looking at out of state schools, but you are closer to Alaska than there :P

Try applying to UC Berkeley CS, but not EECS. It is slightly easier to get into CS in UC Berkeley’s College of Letters and Science, than it is to get into EECS, which is in Engineering. The CS curriculum is identical.
