Good computer under 300$ to learn to code?

I'm a high school student looking at "unemployable" majors such as philosophy and science. But to get a job I am planning on taking IT with my general ed at the local CC/JC. Until then I want to use code academy and other sites to buffer my skills in coding and get a good background. I have a desktop but I prefer a laptop for educational purposes and for the mobility it provides. But what would a good laptop be for programming and light gaming be for under 300$? I really prefer Windows but am willing to learn to use Linux as a side program, I don't prefer Apple because their products are not very durable from what I hear and compatibility is limited for gaming emulator programs as well as being VERY expensive but I may get one later in life just to try it out.

Basically, what is a good workhorse computer for under 300$ mainly used for coding and office software?

Bump?

Google
best $300 or less laptop 2014
, as you will get sufficient performance on any computer for basic coding (try to get a laptop with a processors from AMD/Intel/VIA, as non-x86-64 support is not guaranteed, though common for ARM now). One example from that search:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K4PB06E/</a></p>

Linux is not “a side program,” it is an operating system like Windows 8.1 or Mac OS X Yosemite. You are unable to afford more than integrated graphics for gaming with a $300 budget.
